We at tk2 labs know that privacy and confidentiality of information is an important issue to our users. This privacy policy has been compiled to better serve those who are concerned with how their 'Personally Identifiable Information' is being used by our app and our website. ‘Personally Identifiable Information’ is information that can be used on its own or with other information to identify, contact, or locate a single person, or to identify an individual in context. Please read our privacy policy carefully to get a clear understanding of how we collect, use, protect or otherwise handle your Personally Identifiable Information in our app and our website.
What personal information do we collect from the people that use our app or website?
Numoku™ is designed such that no personal information is required to use our app.
When registering in our app, users have the option to enter an email address solely for purposes of password recovery. An email address is not required to use our app. If the user chooses to provide an email address for password recovery, the email address is immediately and permanently altered through a hashing process, such that it can only be used as to generate a password reminder notification and cannot be reconstructed into its original form and used to contact the user.
Numoku also collects a username and password, which are used for login purposes only and cannot be used to identify a specific individual.
If a user does not wish to provide a username and password, the user may play our Numoku app anonymously in “Practice Mode.”
No personal information is required to use our website. No personal information is collected by our website.
What other information does the app collect that does not reveal a specific identity?
When connected to the internet, our app stores game-related data on our servers so that (a) users may synchronize their accounts across multiple devices, (b) users may challenge other users to competitive match play, and (c) users may compare their rankings with other users. This data includes game preferences and game results.
Our app also uses the third-party Crashlytics library to record data on errors and crashes. Such error logs do not contain any personally identifiable information or financial / payment information. Error logs may contain information about application usage necessary for debugging, including device type, app version number, installation UUID, and operating system version numbers. Crashlytics also provides aggregated data on app usage (e.g. total number of users) which is not attributable to any specific user. This aggregate information is used to improve our service.
When do we collect personal information?

COPPA (Children Online Privacy Protection Act)
When it comes to the collection of personal information from children under the age of 13 years old, the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) puts parents in control. The Federal Trade Commission, United States' consumer protection agency, enforces the COPPA Rule, which spells out what operators of websites and online services must do to protect children's privacy and safety online.
We do not collect personal information from children under 13 in a manner subject to COPPA (see the FTC’s Complying with COPPA: Frequently Asked Questions, Section I.4). If you believe that information has been collected improperly, please email compliance@numoku.com.
Fair Information Practices
The Fair Information Practices Principles form the backbone of privacy law in the United States and the concepts they include have played a significant role in the development of data protection laws around the globe. Understanding the Fair Information Practice Principles and how they should be implemented is critical to comply with the various privacy laws that protect personal information.
In order to be in line with Fair Information Practices we will take the following responsive action, should a data breach occur:
- We will notify the users via in-site notification within 2 business days of verifying the data breach, or as soon as practicable.
- We also agree to the Individual Redress Principle which requires that individuals have the right to legally pursue enforceable rights against data collectors and processors who fail to adhere to the law. This principle requires not only that individuals have enforceable rights against data users, but also that individuals have recourse to courts or government agencies to investigate and/or prosecute non-compliance by data processors.
CAN SPAM Act
The CAN-SPAM Act is a law that sets the rules for commercial email, establishes requirements for commercial messages, gives recipients the right to have emails stopped from being sent to them, and spells out tough penalties for violations.
To be in accordance with CANSPAM, we agree to the following:
- If we are contacted by an individual, we may use that individual’s email address to respond to inquiries and/or other requests or questions. Email addresses obtained in this manner will not be used for any sales or marketing purposes.
- If at any time you would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails, you can email us at compliance@numoku.com and we will promptly remove you from ALL correspondence.
